Legacy Membership
Fifty memberships that never expire.
Paid once. Held for good. Passed on without limit.
Most memberships end when the member does.
A legacy membership doesn’t. You pay once — no initiation, no annual dues, not now and not later — and you name who it goes to after you. So does the person you name. There is no cap on how many times that can happen.
Western Rod & Range will issue fifty of them. Then the roll closes and we do not open it again.

The rate the membership settles at once the first batch closes.
No initiation and no annual dues at either price, for anyone who ever holds it.
- No initiation. No dues. Ever.
- Paid once, at the rate of the day. Neither you nor anyone who comes after you pays an initiation fee or annual dues again.
- Passed down without limit
- Each holder names the next. No cap on generations and no new initiation at any handover — but it stays one membership on one line, and it does not divide among heirs.
- A guest who is family
- Bring a child or grandchild on your own booking without a separate membership. The point of the thing is the person you first went with.
- An annual minimum, not dues
- Legacy members carry a minimum in rod and day fees each year, the way a club carries a table minimum. Fish or hunt at all and you will never meet it. A successor's first year is exempt.
- Perpetual, and written that way
- The term is perpetual and the membership agreement says so plainly. A promise this long is worth nothing if the wording leaves us a way out of it.
Somebody took you the first time.
This is how you do the same for somebody else, and how they do it after you.
Fifty legacy memberships, then the roll closes. Succession must be named in writing. Property day fees and rod fees remain set by each property and are paid at the time of reservation. Access remains subject to availability and to each property's rules. Legacy members carry an annual minimum of $1,000 in combined rod and day fees; any shortfall is billed at the end of the membership year, and a successor’s first year is exempt. Membership acceptance remains subject to Western Rod & Range membership requirements.

Colorado is where the club begins. The states beyond it describe where we intend to grow — not where properties exist today.
Stewardship
Good country stays good because someone looks after it.
Water that runs cold and clean, banks that hold, cover that holds birds — none of it is an accident. It is the result of work, and most of that work is done by the families and managers who own the ground.
Western Rod & Range is built to support that work. Access fees go to the people doing it. Members are expected to follow every property rule, respect posted limits and seasons, and leave a place as they found it. Properties that are being pushed too hard come off the calendar — we would rather grow slowly than open more country than it can carry.
1%of the platform’s profits is directed to land, water, and habitat conservation.
Profits, not revenue. The revenue version sounds better, and it is a promise a young platform cannot keep through the years it loses money. We would rather make the smaller commitment and actually meet it.
Which also means being straight about the present: until there are profits, there is a commitment and an accounting structure, not a check. That is why habitat stewardship sits on our roadmap rather than in our launch claims.

We’ll honor the dues you’ve already paid.
Joining Western Rod & Range shouldn’t mean paying twice for the same year.
If you have an active annual membership with another qualifying hunting, fishing, angling, or sporting club, show us proof of your most recent annual dues payment and we’ll recognize the remaining term of that membership toward your Western Rod & Range annual dues.
You’ll pay the standard Western Rod & Rangeinitiation fee when you join, but your first annual membership dues won’t be due until your existing paid membership period ends.

Your time outside shouldn’t start over.
Just send us your most recent dues receipt and we’ll take it from there.
Membership transfer offer applies to qualifying annual hunting, fishing, angling, and sporting-club memberships. Proof of payment and current membership term required. Standard Western Rod & Range initiation fee applies at enrollment. Membership acceptance remains subject to Western Rod & Range membership requirements. Transfer recognition has no cash value and applies only to the timing of first-year annual dues.

The Founding Charter
Your founding rate, held
Dues stay at the founding rate for as long as your membership stays current, and initiation is paid once — never again.
A membership you can pass on
A founding membership may be transferred once to a family member or a named successor, without a new initiation. Few things in the outdoors are worth more than the person you first went with.
A place on the founding roll
Founding members are recorded on the club's charter, in the order they joined, with the number they were given. That record does not get rewritten.
First call on new ground
A booking window on every new water and property before it opens to the wider membership.
A hand in what we pursue
We ask founding members which rivers, regions, and species to chase next — and tell you what came of it.
The hunting network opens in Colorado first. Founding members joining now are joining ahead of it, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
